Short Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 2 days

The Short Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 2 days is part of an ancient highway that connected the citadel to the former Inca Empire. Today, most hikers walk only a small section of the original highway system, which spanned about 5200 km (3200 miles), from what is now Quito, Ecuador to Tucuman, Argentina.

This trek highlights other impressive Inca archaeological sites along the way. You’ll enjoy amazing vistas of the Andes, deep valleys, the lush vegetation of the cloud forest, and the craftsmanship of the stone paths built into the mountainside.
